What would you think an online first-person shooter game that the maximum size of the game is 4 vs 4 teams?
I'm thinking of doing a multiplayer online fps, but with my game engine than players in a multiplayer game is 8 players. I just want to know is this a size fair play – 4 vs. 4 is too small, or is it just big enough. Of course, free to all games can go up to 8 people as well. Also – Would a good idea to add bots / AI multiplayer?
Depends on the style of play, if only up 4v4 deathmatch or every man for himself death match then that player sufficient. If you are thinking of making team-oriented game modes that capture the flag or the popular, such as assault or man bag then it is likely that in the end bottom of the players, but it would still be feasible in smaller maps. You should definitely add bots, which lets you adjust the size of the game / not have enough equity when human players.
